Hey Band!
Band Day 2010 is Saturday, September 11th!
This is the band and color guard's most important fundraiser
of the year.
It's a full day of fun in the sun, going door-to-door, under parent
driver supervision, asking for donations.
Here are the general guidelines:
- Call time is 9:00 am.
- Arrive ready to put on your band
uniform. What to wear:
- ... lightweight shorts or leggings (to
wear under your bibber)
- ... black socks and marching shoes (not tennis shoes)
- If you don't
have marching shoes yet, a dark shoe suitable for lots of walking is
fine.
- We will not be wearing shakos.
- Hats (use good
judgement when selecting!) and sunglasses are allowed but please remove
them when asking for donations.
Once your uniform is on there
will be a
brief meeting with your drum majors. Listen carefully because they will
have some important tips and information for you.
Water bottles will be provided. Food,
snacks and rest breaks are provided at your sector houses.
You will return to the band room by 5:00 pm.
