Hello Sprague Music Families and Students!
My name is Melodie Kenoyer, and I am thrilled to serve as the Music Day Coordinator for Sprague High School. Music Day is our largest district-wide fundraiser, bringing together Band, Choir, and Orchestra students to go door-to-door in our local neighborhoods, sharing information about our music programs, and collecting cash and returnable bottle/can donations.
Beyond providing a significant portion of our funding for the year, it is a wonderful, high-energy event where students experience firsthand how deeply our community supports their artistic growth, while families and volunteers build lasting connections before the school season gets underway.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 12, 2026—our annual tradition always falls on the first Saturday of the school year, and I will share more detailed schedules in the coming weeks.
Because Music Day is such a massive undertaking, we rely heavily on parent and community volunteers to make it possible! We are actively seeking at least 30 neighborhood drivers to chaperone student groups, a few drivers with trucks to haul large bottle loads, and many on-site campus volunteers to manage driver needs, deliver supply refills, run lunch stations, and assist with bottle and can sorting. We welcome teen/adult family members, and community supporters—music is for everyone!

Please note that all non-SKPS employee volunteers must complete a district background check at Volunteer Background Check Application (valid for five years), which should be submitted as soon as possible due to processing times, and drivers will also need to show a valid driver’s license, current vehicle registration, and proof of insurance.
